Just Good Preachin’ Episode 4 – Pastor George Pinion – It Is Well

Rising Fawn Baptist Church, where my parents go to church, is having revival services this week. They are inviting different preachers each night of the meeting. Last night I went to hear Pastor George Pinion, Pastor of Elizabeth Terrace Baptist Church in Rossville. During much of the 10 years I was an area pastor, my Pastor Ken Trivette has been on the mission field in South Dakota. Although I could pick up the phone at any moment and call Bro. Ken and talk to him, I knew that the work that he was doing kept him very busy. So I found myself calling Bro. Pinion more and more through the years. He became a surrogate pastor to me. I have cried on his shoulder (or ear), asked him questions, got his counsel and advise time and time again. Bro. George, like my pastor, has been such a blessing and help to me.
That’s why last night was so special. It was one of the rare times I have gotten to hear him preach and last night’s message was one of the greatest not only that I have ever heard him preach, but ever heard (period). As you listen to it, you will probably guess why I was so drawn to the message (he had a couple of Forgotten-esk stories in his messages that just blew me away) but he set forth Jesus Christ so beautifully that me heart was over-joyed! I can’t wait to listen to it again.
If you do not have a home church, I would greatly encourage you to pay a visit to Elizabeth Terrace Baptist Church and listen to a faithful gem of a pastor: Bro. George Pinion
