A lot of times, what God gives you in the preparation to preach is not exactly what comes across in the preaching moment. That is the way I felt Sunday night as I preached this message at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Ooltewah, Tennessee.

But even when the delivery feels different than the preparation, the burden of the message does not change.

From 1 Samuel 16, Samuel stood waiting for the coming king. He said, “Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.” That statement still speaks to every child of God.

In discouraging times, keep standing.
In disappointing conditions, keep standing.
In the work God has called you to do, keep standing.
And above all, keep standing because the King is coming.

We are living in a day when it would be easy to sit down in discouragement, bitterness, silence, fear, or spiritual weariness. But this is not the time to fold our hands and settle into ease. The King is Coming!

The imperative remains the same for every child of God:

Keep on standing till you see the King!
