In Nehemiah\u2019s day, the people were ignorant of the scripture. So learned men were appointed to teach the communicate what God had revealed in His Word: Nehemiah 8:8 So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading. That is the goal of preaching and teaching the Bible. It is to communicate the sense of the text, to explain its meaning and context. Since 2007, I have been trying to do that very thing in a small church setting. Verse by verse, precept upon precept, I have studied the scriptures and endeavored to share what I have found to God\u2019s people. Just recently, I have been compiling these with the desire to share these with other men of God that are serving the Lord by teaching His word.<\/p>
